You know, most people start a home based Network Marketing business thinking they are going to make it big immediately.  This is not (always) the case!  In fact, so many people fail to make a profit because they don’t realize it takes time.  People get started & after 1-3 months after not making any money they quit.  That’s because we have the J.O.B. mind set of swapping hours for dollars.

Well, I’m here to tell you no one makes money over night.  A Network Marketing business can take just as long as any other type of business to get started and to make a profit.  The only difference, which is a benefit, is that it doesn’t take nearly as much costs as it does other businesses.

But Network Marketing is just the opposite.  You have to work first before the money even starts to roll in.  And many people quit before that happens.

Success is not going to come overnight. You have to give your Network Marketing business some time.  When you start your Step Ladder Downline Builder business, I want you to go in saying to yourself “yes I know it is going to take me around 45 to 90 days before I even get 3 people onto my team”.  That way when it doesn’t happen overnight, you would have expected that.  If it does happen before that, you will be very happy.

I like to call this the 6 Month Experiment?

In other MLM or Network Marketing companies you can spend $100 to $200 EACH & EVERY month.  With SLDLB’s first opportunity you’ll only spend about $69 over a matter of 6 months.  $69???  Talk about low risk.  The “6 Month Experiment” is about giving yourself an opportunity.  Giving yourself enough time to succeed without going broke.

So, here’s the experiment.  Give your SLDLB business a try for at least 6 months.  Don’t quit early.  Don’t give up.  Don’t whine & complain.  Don’t come up with excuse after excuse why you can’t make any long term income.  Put your foot down & get to work.  Share it with all of your friends, family, everybody!  And see where you’re at after 6 months.  At the very least if you still have money coming out of your pocket… then stop!  If you’re not where you want to be… stop!

But what if you (at the very least) are at breakeven (referred two people) & you have no money coming out of your pocket?  If that’s the case then you have a free business.  Keep it going & your income will only get bigger & bigger & bigger.  And it’s only going to get better & better.

You have to have the mindset that you are going to do whatever it takes to succeed in your SLDLB business.  That may include attend weekly webinars, reading motivational books, listening to motivational CD’s/DVD’s/MP3’s, etc.  Whatever else it takes to take your SLDLB business to the next level.  If you put a price tag or a time limit on your business then you are shooting yourself in the foot before you begin.

This is your life time opportunity for crying out loud.  You have to do everything in your power to make your SLDLB business succeed.  Your financial freedom depends on it.

It’s never too late to press start.  Yet everybody has an excuse not to become wealthy.  Either you make results or you can make excuses.  Either you make money or you can make excuses.  But you can’t do both.  Are you going to make excuses?  Stop coming up with excuses.  What is your excuse for not becoming wealthy?

Don’t wait til January 1st

With the new year just around the corner, you’re probably starting to reflect on the past year.  Even if it’s merely at a subconscious level, the ending of one thing and the beginning of another tends to stimulate the desire for change within yourself.

We’ve all seen ourselves (and others) commit to New Year’s resolutions that hardly ever manifest.  Which is why you should start preparing for that resolution now.

There are many resolutions that we all make every year.

Like Working out.  This is normally at the top of everyone’s list.

Or Eating healthy.  This resolution tends to go hand-in-hand with the previous one.  And while eating healthy is on the top of everyone’s New Year’s resolution list, it’s a hard habit to stick to.

For the most part I always thought it was silly to actually wait for the new year to start most resolutions.  But there are 2 specific resolutions that you absolutely shouldn’t wait for the new year to start.

1. Starting (or stopping) a habit

Breaking and creating habits is not an easy process. Which is probably why we wait for something pressing–like the New Year–to consider making that shift.

It’s easier to put off things like quitting smoking until the New Year, just like it’s easier to sleep in instead of setting your alarm to implement the habit of waking up early.

Whatever habit it is that you are putting off until the New Year, consider making steps toward it today.

Regardless of what you want your New Year’s resolution to be, you don’t need to wait until January 1st to start practicing it.  By implementing this “resolution mentality” into your life right now, you will create the space and regimen you need to actually stick to the resolutions you put in place for yourself this year.

2. Being more productive

Reflecting on the past year may have made you realize all the little things you wish you had done but didn’t have the time for.  There is a reason productivity is constantly at the top of everyone’s New Year’s resolution lists.

Instead of waiting until next year, use the momentum you’ve gained coming to this conclusion to start trying to be more productive now.

Read that book you’ve been wanting to read.

Start that project.

Start working on the skill you’ve always wanted to acquire.

Build your SLDLB business.

Productivity doesn’t just happen.  It’s a habit that is refined over time.  So, the sooner you start being proactive about your productivity, the sooner your productivity will prosper.

Many of us feel the need to wait until the New Year to develop that skill or start that project.

Why wait?

Start working on your routine now, and you’ll start January three steps ahead of where you would have been otherwise.

The New Year is a wonderful time to set positive intentions.  And the end of the year is a great time to start reflecting and manifesting these ambitions.  Even if all you do is create a list, start thinking about and implementing your New Year’s resolutions today–so you have a stronger chance of achieving your goals in the new year.

Monthly vs. 1-Time Purchases

You may have noticed that the opportunities in your SLDLB members area are a mixture of monthly purchases & 1-time purchases.

Personally, I prefer the opportunities where I make monthly purchases.

Why?  Well, answer me this.  Would you rather receive a 1-time commission of $100?  Or a commission of $50 every single month for many years to come?

Of course, I’m making up these specific numbers for this example.  But I think you get my point.

1-Time purchases mean 1-Time commissions.  Up front money.  However, once you are paid, that’s it.  No more commissions from that same customer again.  True, you won’t be making any more payments, but in order to get paid you must get another customer to get that 1-time commission.

Monthly purchases mean monthly commissions.  Think of it as a 1-time commission except it’s a 1-time commission… every month.  It’s up front money… every month.  You don’t need to find (as many) new customers to be paid every month because you get paid every month from the same customer.

You could find one customer and be paid 1-time $100 and that would be it.  Or, you could find one customer, be paid $50, then be paid another $50 the next month, then be paid another $50 the next month, etc.  Now these examples assume the same type of compensation plan (Matrix, 1UP, 2UP, Even/Odd Up, cycle, etc.)  But again, I think you get my point.

Sometimes the 1-time commissions are bigger because the purchase price is higher (“Big Ticket Item”).  You may get a lot of money right away.  Especially when you have multiple customers coming into your business.  And that quick money is great for whatever you may need it for.  Pay some bills.  Pay off some debt.  Buy that fancy shiny “thing” you always wanted.  (Ahem) Enter a new SLDLB opportunity with monthly payments.  But in the long run it’s all about… well, longevity.  Whereas the 1-time commissions are all about quick money.  Or maybe even a good run before it slows down drastically.

SLDLB incorporates a mixture of both strategies.  For simplicity it would have been nice to start off with a 1-time opportunity.  That would be easier on your pocket for the slow starters.  But it is crucial to start with the opportunity that allows you to use the tools to promote your SLDLB business.  Those tools are found in All In One Profits.  And they have a phenomenal compensation plan that pays monthly.  In fact, once you have 2 people in your AIOP payline you will always be in profit.  No more out of pocket purchases for all the SLDLB opportunities.  Just follow the steps.

So in the last section I mentioned the first of 2 HUGE “secrets” to becoming massively successful with your Step Ladder Downline Builder business, developing a positive mindset toward your SLDLB business.

In this section we’ll examine ways you can develop a positive mindset of business success, health and wealth.

I’ll just get right to it…

1) Control Your Imagination: Isn’t it true that we are free to use our imagination the way we please? But if you think about it for a second, doesn’t it seem as if our imagination is using us instead! How else would you explain situations where people mostly think up all of these negative outcomes for their endeavors, rather than positive ones?

Don’t these people know that it takes as much effort to imagine successful, positive scenarios as it does to imagine fearful, negative ones? If you know this, and you know what affect the mindset can have on your actions, wouldn’t you rather use your creative mind (your imagination) to ‘manufacture’ constructive thoughts rather than destructive ones?

2) Remain Positive & Optimistic: Be determined from the get-go that no matter what happens, you’ll respond with a positive attitude. Focus on what good there is to be found in every situation… and there always is good.

Even in your relationship with people, focus on their good aspects and don’t expect too much. And in your business, the fact that a particular strategy didn’t deliver expected results doesn’t mean the business as a whole is a failure. Simply try another means of achieving that same result.

Say you tried generating leads using social media and didn’t see much success. Don’t just assume that leads are inherently hard or impossible to generate. With a mindset that says IT CAN BE DONE, you’ll quickly move on to other methods.

A positive mindset might even allow you to reexamin your approach to that same approach that initially failed. In a nutshell, a positive mindset will always find a way around a problem, whereas a negative mindset only sees every little obstacle as a reason to quit.

3) Expect The Best For Your Business: In life we often get what we confidently expect. Not that it happens miraculously, but our subconscious mind has a way of coloring our actions in ways that determine what we get in life, whether good or bad.

So have the belief that your SLDLB business is set up for success. Your whole being will key into this mindset and will channel your physical, mental, and spiritual energies toward thoughts that will make success a reality.

But if on the other hand you fear the worst for your business, well, your mind will keep presenting you with thoughts that could confirm what you are afraid of! I always say, “Whatever you believe will happen, will.” It’s just the way the human mind has been programed to work.

As a home business owner, your mindset sure counts for something. No, it doesn’t replace the need to work hard to achieve success. But your set of thoughts toward your business, if positive, will keep you firmly on the path to success.

Want to add your own opportunity?

Did you know that you can add 2 of your own opportunities to promote on your SLDLB website?  Maybe you already have.  But there’s something you should know when adding your own opportunity in your SLDLB members’ area.

While some of you may add a blog or a personal informational site, the majority of you will add some type of affiliate or network marketing opportunity that includes a username or ID# in the web address.  When adding these types of opportunities to your SLDLB members’ area it is important to remember that when your SLDLB referrals join your added opportunity they will add their username/ID# to the provided field in their own SLDLB members’ area so they can promote that opportunity for themselves as well as for you.  So it is very important to add the correctly formatted url in your SLDLB members’ area.

While adding a new program replace your affiliate id with {affiliateid} in the website url so that it can automatically get replaced when the users add their own username or affiliate id for that program.

For example, if your affiliate url is

Then write it as{affiliateid}
so that it will automatically get replaced with members affiliate id when they promote there affiliate url of your website.

After the URL has been entered you simply just need to update your username/ID# in the affiliate box.

Please keep in mind that if your URL is not properly formatted it may not be approved.
